There's a very good reason to hydrate and stretch when you first wake-up...your body needs water to conduct cellular activity. Think of it like gas in your car. Your body's cells need water to get to work. By consuming a small amount of water and stretching, you're helping improve blood circulation. There's no special stretches you have to perform.
